CPRA Board and Staff partake in a facilitated systemic racism workshop led by Dr. Cheryl Teelucksingh and Dr. Randolph Haluza-Delay. The aim of the workshop was to help guide important and insightful discussions on systemic racism in Canada, particularly within the parks and recreation sector.

The workshop was organized in the wake of the BLM movement. The CPRA Board is committed to its truth and reconciliation journey as well as ensuring equitable access to recreation, therefore it was deemed necessary to be respectfully learn about the issues facing BAME so as to put proper systems and programs in place to help solve the issue of systemic racism .
