In very exciting news, hot off the presses is a book containing a chapter about Making Space for Girls.
We wrote this jointly with Amanda Seims and Sufyan Abid Dogra from the Jump project in Bradford, and it’s an outline about both the problem of the lack of facilities for teenage girls in parks, and also some studies of best practice in how to co-produce solutions.
What’s particularly interesting and different is the Jump team’s experience of embedding themselves in the community in Bradford and using this knowledge to make changes in children’s activity levels.
