October 7 from 12:00-1:30 Eastern
This session will explore the importance of physical activity during and after pregnancy. Further, we will explore some of the changes that women face during this time and consider the differences between pre- and post-natal experiences in recreation. Finally, we will put lessons into practice, and discuss ways to overcome these barriers, and share personal lived experience as new mothers.
This webinar is a part of CPRA’s Gender Equity in Recreational Sport initiative. The initiative includes a number of projects informed by best practices and evidence, in an effort to increase the participation and retention of women and girls in recreational sport in Canada. This effort received funding from, and supports, the Government of Canada (Sport Canada) commitment to achieve gender equity in sport at every level by 2035.
