FUNDING

CPRA will administer funding via a community grants program to support 500+ across Canada by March 31, 2023.

The call for applications will seek proposals from eligible organizations for tiered grant funding support of up to $50,000. Proposals may seek funding for:

• Grants worth a maximum value of $5,000
• Grants worth a value of $5,001-$25,000
• Grants worth a value of $25,001-$50,000

ALLOWABLE COSTS

Applications require detailed project budget descriptions. Allowable costs for this grant program include:

• Participant registration fees (note: programs must be free or low cost for every participant)
• Venue costs/facility rental fees
• Facilitator/contactor/coach/trainer/program leader fees
• Direct marketing and communications costs
• Translation of program materials (ex. to reach language-minority communities)
• Travel costs related to carrying out the initiative
• Promotion (distribution, mailing, web, social media, etc.)
• Materials and office supplies
• General support costs to implement policy changes and new approaches
• Equipment needs for individual or group participation

INELIGIBLE COSTS

• Capital costs (infrastructure or equipment purchases over $1,000 per item)
• Prize money or awards
• Banquets
• Alcohol
• Insurance costs
• Fundraising support
• Administrative costs exceeding 10% of the overall requested budget
