This year, CPRA will be enhancing the Bench to make it easier to connect with people and to share knowledge. You can check out the first upgrades now!
Upgrade your Profile
The new year is the perfect time to update your profile. You can include a picture, your personal bio and links to your social media pages. New this year, you can make your email visible to any user on the Bench. This is optional but it’s a great way to increase your profile in the community and connect with colleagues.
Open Forum
You will see a new menu item called Open Forum. If you want to reach a wide audience with your question or resource, this is the place to go. You can find more curated communities too. They are listed under the Communities tab on the menu bar. You can quickly find your communities or all communities.
Receive Updates
If you want to stay current with what’s happening on the Bench sign up for email digests. Just look for the envelope icon. You can follow activity daily or weekly in the Open Forum or any of your communities. Be sure to check your junk mail folder and set permissions so that you receive the emails directly in your inbox.
Not a member yet?
If you haven’t joined the Bench, the approval process is now instant. But you have to verify your email. Check your junk mail folder if you don’t receive an email to validate your account.
Coming in 2022
There are more enhancements coming, including a new document library and enhanced searching. As always the Bench is also the place where you’ll find job postings, funding opportunities, professional development, and regional, national and international events.
